The first annual Boston Line dance cookout was developed by Betty Cohen and family as a way to bring our communities together to celebrate family, friends, and new connections. Betty also wanted to remember her sister and friend Tracy Smith, who along with Betty created the Boston Line Dancers.

Betty also received an Recognition Award for her tireless and unselfish efforts in giving her all to those who are learning the art of line dancing. Not only has Betty taught the classes but has developed the most amazing relationships with who she calls her "Fab 5" (her additional line dance instructors). Everyone connects for a reason and the bond these women have is because of the love of Tracy.
